Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ) Order of Merit

Congratulations to Raylene Bates, who has been awarded the Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ) Order of Merit.

The PNZ Order of Merit recognises individuals who have given outstanding service to PNZ or Para sport.

Raylene has had an amazing 40+ years of service and dedication to Para Athletics and PNZ generally. She has contributed in many ways including as a competitor, administrator, official and coach in both voluntary and paid roles, working with children to veterans.

COVID-19

Hi to all Athletics Taieri members

I hope that you have embraced lock down by staying fit walking, jogging, biking and spending time with family.

As we are now in Level 2 , the Athletics Taieri Clubrooms will be open for training under strict guidelines.  Any member found to not abide by the rules below will be suspended from using the clubrooms until such time as all restrictions are lifted by the government.

  1. No more than 10 people to be in the clubrooms at any one time
  2. Any person entering the clubrooms must sanitize their hands upon entry and departure
  3. All persons entering the clubrooms must sign in and sign out for tracking purposes – log book provided in entrance of doorway (Bring your own pen)
  4. All equipment used or touched (including mats) must be sanitized prior and after use
  5. Maintain social distancing of at least 1m apart
  6. Coaches to ensure shared spotting for appropriate lifting (i.e. bench press and squat) – 2 people to spot (each side of bar) so as to maintain social distancing
  7. Any person who has traveled from overseas (or has been living with someone in their bubble who has traveled) in past 14 days – entry is denied
  8. People feeling unwell must not enter clubrooms
