The club endeavours to foster, encourage, and challenge the potential of athletes and promotes the sport of athletics in a fun, friendly and safe environment and to provide its members a ready means of healthy exercise, in the form of athletics and harriers, as well as developing a social and physical aspect of club life.

Athletics Taieri Children's
Athletics Taieri Children's section meets every Tuesday from 5-6pm at Memorial Park, Mosgiel, during Terms 4 and Term 1.
The 2024-2025 season will start on Tuesday 15 October 2024 and conclude at the end of March 2025. Athletes aged 4-14 years are welcome to register.Â
Club only athletes attend only Tuesday evenings.
Competitive athletes attend Tuesday trainings and Saturday mornings from 8.45-10.30 for ages 6-9 years old; 10.30- 12.15 for ages 10-14 years old. There is also the potential to be involved in squads to help develop skills further. Saturday morning competitions are all held at the Caledonian in Dunedin. Athletes represent Athletics Taieri and compete against clubs from all over Otago each week.
Children aged 15 and over compete as Seniors and are encouraged to be a part of our training squads.
